Obituary For Thomas Terry “Tommy” Wilson

OBITUARY MR. THOMAS TERRY WILSON - Age 91, - Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 24, 1929 to the late Thomas Wilson and Ellen Henderson Wilson and retired from City Hall of Chattanooga. He worked many years with Franklin & Strickland Funeral Home and was owner of Mr. T’s Confectionery Store and part owner of Memorial Mortuary. Tommy was known by many names; “Tommy” “T. I.” and “Chocolate Thunder.” He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy, and lastly employed at Habitat Humanity.

Survivors are his loving wife, Rosa Burnell Brown Wilson; son, Tommy Robinson; daughters, Viera Wilson, Vesta Havis, and Sabrina Martin; three grandchildren, Brandon Henry Whitney Wilson and Marcus Johnson; three step daughters; Annette Brown, Jeanette Mack and Minister Sharon Hyter; two step sons; Ronald Brown and Timothy Hyter; five step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend, Aaron Elliott; other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Highland Cemetery, with Elder Wilbert McClure officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Hardwick Funeral Home located at 2521 Duncan Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
