Obituary For Pattie Lee Settle Broadnax

Mrs. Pattie Lee Broadnax, 93, of Reidsville, NC died October 30, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Smyrna Church of Christ in Reidsville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p. m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Mrs. Pattie Lee Settle Broadnax entered life January 30, 1926 to the late Ted Colrane and the late Mary Settle in Stoneville, NC. She departed this life October 30, 2019. Ms. Pattie was an only child. Sis. Pattie was the wife of the late Charlie Woodrow Broadnax, Sr. and to this union was born four children; Charlie Broadnax, Jr., George H. Broadnax, Sr., William Douglas Broadnax, Jr. and Bettie Jean Broadnax. Sis. Pattie was a caregiver for 20 years. She worked at Fieldcrest Mills for 17 years. After returning from Fieldcrest Mills she worked at the Rockingham County School System for 5 years. Sis. Pattie became a member of Smyrna Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of the late Apostle Preston Graves on February 26, 1972. She loved her church family and she loved praising the Lord. She would stand and praise the Lord with a shout, raise her hand with a praise and then sit down. She was a faithful Missionary, the Pastor’s Aide member, she sang in the Gospel Choir and a tithe payer. She remained faithful to her church and was an outstanding Woman of God with a quiet and gentle spirit, a warm smile and a great heart. Pattie was a professional baker and cook that love people with a profound love for her family. She was preceded by her husband, Charlie Broadnax, Sr, and two sons, Charlie Broadnax, Jr., George (Buck) Broadnax, Sr., grandchildren, Kimberly Broadnax, Kimberly A. Broadnax, Kenneth Broadnax and Michael Broadnax. She leaves to cherish her memories: son; William (Douglas) Broadnax, daughters; Bettie B. Gant (Walter) and Shelia Wells (Jerry), grandchildren; Harold Broadnax, William Broadnax, Lisa B. Peregrine (Mark), Michelle Broadnax, James Doggett, Robert Doggett, Jamie Blackstock, Sr. (Susan), Tonia Surratt, Wilbert Broadnax (Pam), Chris Broadnax, Tyrone Broadnax (Marva), Kiesha Broadnax, Greg Bray, Kadisha Blackstock, Brian and Jamie Blackstock, Jr., 39 great grandchildren, 38 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild, special granddaughters; Lisa & Kadisha, special niece, Tonia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
