Obituary For Roger Lee Gore

Mr. Roger Lee Gore, 82, departed this life Thursday, Nov, 7, 2019 in Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Rosier Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery. Mr. Gore was a native of Jenkins County born to the parentage of the late Josephine Hall and Willie Gore. He spent this life with the love and training of his aunt, Mandie Lewis. Roger was dedicated farmer and machine operator for over 60 years at several farms including Jimmy Gay Farms. At an early age he joined the Phillip Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his family including one brother, Edward Gore. Survivors include, his daughter, Largie Dukes, Louisville, GA; stepson, Marcus Kelly, Louisville, GA; aunt, Eloise Hill, St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Valencia Anderson, Shameka (Jerome) Hadden, DaMario Kelly, Markel Kelly, Isiah Kelly, Marketrice Kelly; great grandchildren, Nickie Jenkins, Kenye’ Pryor, Monisha Walker, PFC Moeisha Walker, Sha’Riquez Walker and Kingston Spraggs; great-great grandchildren, Tamyah Jenkins and Z’Darrian Houston; loving 1st cousins, Inez (Eddie) Bynum, Mary Johnson, Norma Thomas, Annie (Joe) Benford, Bobby (Hazel) Lewis, Charlie (Ann) Lewis, Bill Hall, David Hall, Warren Brown, Robert Owens and Lueseal Mack; devoted friends, Alonzo Jones, Lillie Gilmore and Jimmy and Ann Gay.
