Gregory Prescott Martin, 63, of Martinsville, VA, departed this life on November 6, 2019, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, NC. He was born May 8, 1956 in Martinsville, VA the son of Dorothy Peatross Martin and the late Wiley Green Martin. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a uncle, Charlie Peatross.

Gregory was employed at Ply Gem of Martinsville, and was a 1974 graduate of Martinsville High School. Gregory leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Tiana Martin of Martinsville, VA; his mother, Dorothy P. Martin of Martinsville, VA; four brothers, Wayne D. Martin, Fredrick L. (Brenda) Martin, and Clifford A. Martin all of Martinsville, VA, and Alfred L. (Charlene) Martin of Kernersville, NC; three aunts, Priscilla (Charles) Dandridge of Ridgeway, VA, Delores (Carl) Joyce Martinsville, VA and Aretha Peatross of Bassett, VA; one uncle, George Martin of Martinsville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the CRV Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Whitfield, Eulogist. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
