Obituary For Deacon James Burse

DEACON JAMES BURSE – Age 84, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was a faithful deacon of Cove Road Church of God and owner of his family business, Burse’s Brick & Stone Mason, since 1970. He passionately enjoyed watching baseball and football and singing. He is preceded in death by the love of his life of 50 years, Betty Lucille Suttle Burse, his parents Jacob Burse and Rosie Dallas Burse, daughter Shelia Burse, son Todd Burse, and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving three sons, Kenneth Scott (Karen) Burse, Chadwick Sherard (Vicki) Burse, Minister Christopher Bernard (Christa) Burse, Sr. all of Lafayette, GA; brother, J. L. (Flossie) Burse of LaFayette, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Simmons, Tyler (Kayla) Burse, Bree Ware, Chasity Burse, Chandra Burse, Andrew Burse, Joshua Burse, Christopher Burse, Jr., Nykolas Burse; great grandchildren, Carter Simmons and Malachi Allen; brother-in-law, David Suttle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Special thank you to Pruitt Health Hospice and Hearth Hospice.

Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 223 Dunwoody Rd, LaFayette, GA 30728, with Minister Christopher Burse (Son) , eulogist and Pastor Rheubin Taylor, officiating.
