Obituary For Sherri Anette McCollum Penn

Sherri A. McCollum Penn, 55, of Eden, died November 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Perry-Spencer Memorial Chapel in Eden, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home.

Sherri transitioned to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, November 17, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was born November 16, 1964 in Rockingham County to Judith “Arnell” McCollum and the late Elbert Rucker. Sherri attended Morehead High School, Eden, NC. She visited several church in the county, with Beulah Baptist Church, Madison, NC being her favorite. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved dancing and making people laugh, where she always had a smile on her face and never complained about her medical condition. Sherri was also preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Christine Rucker and her sister, Susan “Neesee” McCollum. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband; Ricky L. Penn, two bonus sons; Joshua (Whitney) and Ricky Jr. (Lacey), one bonus daughter; Rashanda Penn, her mother; Judith McCollum, four sisters; Tammie (Brad), Janet (Phil), Tonya, Shantone “Kia”, two brothers; John “Boy” (Mandy) and Danuel “Dano”, a host of relatives and friends

Sherri ..I cant remember a sad time are a mad time that we shared in our friendship of many years...we always looked out for each other an had each others back as true friends...Distance at times seperate the best of friends but we always stayed the best of friends an was glad to talk an laugh together on the phone...Im going to miss you best friend....Rest in God's arms sis,,you are in peace an no more sickness..Love you forever
