Obituary For Mrs. Letrice Nance

Mrs. Letrice Rainey Nance, 65, passed away unexpectantly on November 19, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1954 to the late William A. Rainey Sr. and Alice C. Johnson Rainey in Bennettsville, SC. “Sissy” as she was fondly known was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

She attended public schools in Davidson County. She was a dedicated employee with Ralph Lauren Polo for more than 25 years where she retired in January 2017.

Sissy was a member of Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church where she served on the Mass and Gospel Choirs along with many other duties she performed.

“Sissy” was united in holy matrimony on January 11, 1992 to Jerry D. Nance.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Jerry D. Nance of the home; her beautiful life will also be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Kadra Rainey of Greensboro, NC, Jerry Redfern and Jermaine (Eleathia) Redfern both of Winston Salem, NC; sisters, Brenda (John) Green of High Point, NC, Linda (Donald) Robinson and Connie (Daryll) Tillman of Thomasville, NC; brothers, Buster Lee (Jackie) Rainey of Winston Salem, NC, Calvin Rainey of Thomasville, NC and Keith Rainey of Greensboro, NC; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eula M. Nance; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Virginia) Nance of Jacksonville, FL., Shelby (Cheryl) Pegues of High Point, NC, Jerry (Myrtice) Clark of Gastonia, NC and Kenneth (Paulette) Nance of High Point, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church, 3400 Triangle Lake Road. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 pm. until 1:00 p.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
