Hello. My name is Candice McIntee (Dobbs - Maiden name). Mrs. Darden taught me piano lessons back when I was in middle school (Southwest Middle School off Lynhurst and Benjamin E. Mays Drive). Nonetheless, I admired Mrs. Darden so much, and she was such an inspiration to me. While I know it has been years since we've spoken and seen each other, I would absolutely love to see her now. If you get this message, can you please reach out to me at the following number and or email, as I would to see her: Cell- 678.490.1363 Email- candidobbs@gmail.com

Dad,you have always been my hero! I loved when you took me to see Frank Robinson and the Reds and Oscar Robertson and the Royals when I was a kid in Cincinnati! I am so proud of your professional accomplishments, but I mainly loved you as my Dad! I will try to be the best George Darden I can be! GII

My Brother, My Brother, My Brother!!! George, aside from the many wonderful memories I have of our times together, nothing stands out like the many times we flew, First Class, all across the country conducting Attorney Interviews because there were just not enough Black Attorneys in the General Counsel's Office. RIP!!! Maxine

My grandfather was amazing in so many ways. His huge smile he'd give me, our conversations, his annual birthday song and just being a special part in my life. I'll miss you. Love you always, Grandad. May your spirit and legacy carry on forever always!

Dear Friend Gwen and family, George was a very special friend 6o our group. He was always generously willing to share the Darden's beautiful, well organized space with us. Dennis and I will miss his sly smile, hardy laugh, funny jokes and expressions, intellectual pontifications, smart recital of facts from a famtastic memory, great knowledge and his reading consumption! George was a great man and a great man. The world is a better place because he was here. May the peace of the Lord and the mercy of His spirit always be with be with you, and all the Darden family.

Can’t ever forget the time Mr. Darden came to our defense immediately after the “check” episode. Professional, not judgmental. Partying with him and Abby Kendrick. Listening to Ray Charles. Will not forget the patriarch. Beloved and missed. BTW (If you don’t know what the “check” episode was ask G.)

Mr. Darden, you always made me feel like one of the family. I’ll never forget you singing “I Did It My Way” at your retirement party! Well, you lived your life “your way” and we are all the better for it. May God’s love sustain your family until we all meet again in a better place. Sabrina Holcomb
