Obituary For Willie Badger

Funeral services for Willie “Ricky” Badger of 1840 Charleston Avenue South Fairfax, S.C.will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Beautiful Gate Baptist Church with Reverend Gilbert Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors. Brother Willie Lee Badger was born in Allendale, South Carolina on July 16, 1957 to Willie Badger of North Carolina and the late Rose Mary Elmore Badger. He was reared and nurtured by the late Kenneth Williams and Sue Williams of Allendale, South Carolina.

At an early age he joined and was baptized at Beautiful Gate Baptist Church of Allendale, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School Class of 1975. He continued his education at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, Orangeburg, South Carolina where he became a licensed electrician and was employed with Allendale County Schools. He served in the United States National Guard for over 21 years. Willie enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed helping people. He will truly be missed by many. He was formerly married to the late Joanne Simmons Badger and later married Juanita Greyheart Badger.

Mr. Badger passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Allendale County Hospital.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, a loving wife, Juanita Badger of the home; one son, Shawn Fredrick of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Ashley Myers; one brother, James Edward Badger of Augusta, GA; one aunt, Bernice Terrel of Buffalo. NY; godmother, Sue Williams of Allendale, SC; god sister, Peggy Williams-Wright of Allendale, SC; a special friend, Thomas Edwards, III of Martin, SC; and a host of other relatives and caring friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Friends may call at his residence or at the funeral home.
