Obituary For Courtney Jamar Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Courtney Jamar Brown, 30, will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at New Life Gospel Church. Reverend Samuel Holt is the pastor. Dr. Patrick Brown will be the eulogist. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Brown will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Courtney Jamar Brown began life’s journey on Monday, January 4, 1989 to Valerie D. Brown and Darren Hutchinson in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Brown was raised in the Talladega community and completed his education at Talladega High School. He enjoyed basketball, football and baseball. Courtney was currently a contracted employee at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama.

On the morning of Saturday, November 23, 2019, Courtney answered the Master’s call at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. He was preceded in passing by his brother, Daquarius Brown; grandparents, Ruby Hutchison and William D. Beasley; and an aunt, Cutrina Brown.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Valerie D. (Alfred) Cunningham and Darren (Lorika) Hutchinson of Talladega, Alabama; five children, Corterrius Brown, Courtney Brown, Jr. and Me’Aree Brown of Talladega, Alabama, Kourniyah Brown of Pell City, Alabama and Kourtney Brown of Talladega, Alabama; his grandparents, Sandra Wilson and Charles E. Woodgett; four brothers, Cordarryl (Shaundora) Brown, Darrius (Jaiysa) Brown, TyQuarius Curry and Jamichael McCain of Talladega, Alabama; two sisters, Fantasma Hutchinson and Fantasia McCain of Talladega, Alabama; a special aunt, Pearl Collins of Talladega, Alabama; two special cousins, Keyundria Brown and Dontavious Brown; a special friend, Brazy Collins; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
