Obituary For Vickie Marie Johnson

A celebration of life for Ms. Vickie Marie Johnson, 55, will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Pine Grove Church. Reverend Edna B. Scott will be the eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Johnson will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 7, 2019 from 6-7 p.m.

Ms. Vickie Marie Johnson was born on July 30, 1964 in the city of Eastaboga in Talladega County, Alabama to the union of Mrs. Juanita Lane Johnson and the late Mr. Charles Thomas Johnson.

Ms. Johnson has been a devoted member of Pine Grove Church. After her time at Lincoln High School, she attended Ayers Community College in the field of cosmetology to add her sense of style to the world. Ms. Johnson was employed by Tyson Foods and ORION at Anniston Army Depot.

Ms. Vickie Marie Johnson was blessed with the birth of her two sons, Antwoine Lashawn Johnson and Quartez Johnson.

On Monday, November 25, 2019 Ms. Johnson departed this world in Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two loving sons, Antwoine Lashawn Johnson and Quartez Johnson of Lincoln, Alabama; a devoted mother, Juanita Lane Johnson of Lincoln, Alabama; two grandsons, Jakyle Porter and Amir Taylor; two sisters, Jennifer (Joseph) Straham of Talladega, Alabama and Donna (Milus) Cross of Statesville, North Carolina; one brother, Stanley (Sandy) Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; four aunts, Lezonia Wilson, Gloria Jean Elston, Bertha Lane and Mary Lane; two uncles, Willie Mack Johnson and Sherman (Barbara) Lane; three nieces, Akira Cross, Charleycia Strayham and Brooklyn Johnson; seven nephews, De’Angelo Johnson, Jarrett "Mike" Johnson, Donovan Cross, Carson Johnson, Darvin Strayham, Thomas Johnson and Jarrett "Micah" Johnson, Jr.; and two special friends, Carol Thomas and Sarah McCluney; three special cousins, Angela Elston, Cosandra Elston and Darrius Pearson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
