Obituary For Eugene Elmore

Funeral service for Mr. Eugene Elmore,70, of 212 Pleasant Street Allendale, South Carolina will be held at 2:00 p.m on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Allendale Community Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bernice Graves officiating. Burial will follow in the St Mark Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Eugene Elmore was born November 7, 1949 in Allendale, South Carolina to the late Wesley Elmore, Sr. and the late Bertha Hicks.

At an early age, he joined and was baptized at Magdalene Christian Church. He attended Allendale County public schools and was later drafted in the United States Army, where he served faithfully until his discharge. He was employed as a truck driver with Ulmer-Fuller Transport Company until his retirement. Eugene enjoyed fishing and taking trips with his wife Shirley. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

He is preceded in death by both parents; three sisters: Jwanette Patterson, Carrie O’berry and Martha Anderson.

Eugene leaves to cherish his fond memories, Shirley Fredrick Elmore of the home; one son, Quincy Elmore of Allendale SC; one daughter Katherine Elmore of Dover, DE; one step-daughter: Gloria Grice-Glover of Hephzibah, GA; two brothers: Wesley (Rose) Elmore and Charlie Elmore both of Allendale, SC; three sisters: Ernestine Allen and Beulah (Arthur) Badger of both of Fairfax, SC and Jannie Roberts of Aiken, SC; brother-in-law, Tony Fredrick of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Wilson of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Chyna Elmore of Fairfax, SC; two step-granddaughters: Nicole Badger of Aiken, SC and Yateaya Grant of Columbia, SC; a special friend David of Allendale, SC; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m.

Friends may call at his residence or at the funeral home.
