OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Community Chapel COGIC in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Joseph Andrus, 79, who passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Union Chapel’s Baptist Church Cemetery in Beggs, LA. Pastor Jimmy Charles will be officiating the funeral services. Mr. Andrus’ memories are being cherished by: his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Andrus of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Angel Duplechain (Richard) and Latasha Charles both of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Willie Charles (Shameka) of Houston, TX and Rev. Jimmy J. Charles of Houston, TX; three sisters, Lacey Andrus, Linda Cannon both of Opelousas, LA and Lisa Hebert of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters-in-law, Julia Dunn of Washington, LA, Patricia Williams of Houston, TX, and Novis Louis of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Marvin Andrus (Laura), Dennis Pitre both of Opelousas, LA, and Reginald Andrus (Debra) of North Carolina; four brothers-in-law, Jim Williams and Lanick Davis both of Houston, TX, Ricky Louis of Lafayette, LA, Randy Irving of LeBeau, La; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; special friends, Brother Joe Grey, Sister Vergie Grey, and Mary Lou Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Clemmie Andrus; mother in law, Rosetta Williams; three brothers, Willie Andrus, James Andrus, Sr., and Roy Andrus, Jr., two brothers-in-law, Jacob Williams Russell Louis; one sister, Marie Andrus; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Rudison and Alice Mae Cane, and special aunt-in-law, Ella Lott. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Community Chapel COGIC.
