Obituary For Vincent Barnes

Mr. Vincent Therone Barnes

Augusta , GA—Vincent Therone Barnes, affectionately known as "Meatball," entered into God's eternal rest on November 26, 2019 at his residence.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church - Evangelist James Taylor, eulogist. Viewing will be Tuesday evening at Mays Mortuary. The body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Vincent was educated in the Richmond County School System and graduated from Glenn Hills High School. He furthered his education through Job Corps at Tuskegee University and Augusta Technical College with training in nursing and a degree in culinary arts. Vincent was baptized at an early age, and in spite of debilitating health issues throughout his life, he relied on his faith and remained positive, caring, upbeat and joyful.

Left to cherish Vincent's memory are his mother, Rosemary D. Barnes; father, Samuel A. Barnes; brother, Reginald (Debbie) Barnes; sisters, Samesha (Demetrious) Barnes Ivey, Tiara Barnes, Tracie Barnes; Godbrother, Steven Benning; niece, Chloe Barnes; and a host of relatives and friends.
