He was born in Germany, son of the late Robert and Izetta (Lee) Whittaker, retired from the former New Cumberland Army Depot with 33 years of service, a member of New Anointed Christian Fellowship, an Eagle Scout & Troop Leader and an outdoorsman.
In his leisure, he also enjoyed reading and bowling. Michael leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Vivian Carelock Whittaker; his children, Michael Whittaker, Todd C. George, Tamara George-Maclin (Byron) and Tracee Brown (Jason); his sister, Stephanie McCrae (Cecil); his ten grandchildren; three great grands; his two nieces, Jailee and Margit and a host of other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Friday, December 6 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with visitation 11:30 a.m. until 12 Noon.
