Obituary For Carl A. Bailey

Carl A. Bailey was born to the late Nethia M. Bailey on May 14, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at James and Virginia Davis Memorial Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA. Burial with Military Honors will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, S.C. He attended the public school in Charleston. After completion of graduation in 1974 he joined the U.S. Army and was later Honorably discharged. Carl had many hobbies but cosmetology was one that he was really a passion. He completed Cosmetology school and for many years worked as a beautician. He moved to Augusta, GA where he was stricken with illness and was cared for at the VA Medical, Augusta, GA and later called Vero Health and Rehabilitation,(Comfort Creek) Wadley, GA his home. On November 26, 2019, God called Carl home. His mother and one niece, Karen Bailey, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, two devoted sisters, Marian B. Williams and Family, Boston, Mass., Elaine B. Savage and daughter Nethia Heyward, Bronx, N.Y.; Four aunts, Lottie McNeill, Gloria Edwards, Julia Omar, Rosalee Humes, Charleston, S.C. and New York; Uncle Johnnie Bailey and Family, Philadelphia, PA; nieces, Barbara Jones, Regina (husband - Charles) Stroud; nephews, Richard Bailey, Sr. and Harold Bailey; a host of loving great nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
