Obituary For Curtis Taylor

Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Taylor, 60, will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor John L. Ragland, Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Taylor will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Curtis Taylor was born on Sunday, June 14, 1959 in Talladega, Alabama to the union of Jimmy Lee Taylor and Lillie Mae Richardson Taylor.

Mr. Taylor united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and sang with male chorus. He completed his education at Winterboro High School. During his professional career, Curtis was employed with Talladega Foundry, Blue Bell Creamery and Wal-Mart.

On Sunday, December 8, 2019, Mr. Taylor completed this earthly journey and his eternal journey commenced. When he began this journey he was reunited with his parents, Jimmy and Lillie Taylor; a brother, Jimmy Willis Taylor; and a grandson, Malik Suttle.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Luvenia (Tommy) Davis of Gadsden, Alabama and Alicia Swain of Talladega, Alabama; four grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Isaac of Lithonia, Georgia, Tonsie (Albert) Tuck and Malisa Taylor of Gadsden, Alabama; two brothers, Robert Taylor of Sylacauga, Alabama and Billy Taylor of Marietta, Georgia; a longtime companion, Sherry Swain of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
