Obituary For Shadrick Ro'cha Simmons

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Blacks Chapel M.B. Church, 3425 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209 with burial in Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. Our Lord decided to call his loving son home. Mr. Shadrick Rocha Simmons was born September 26, 1980 to Mr. Bobby L. Nichols and Ms. Barbara Simmons in Jackson, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at a young age at Mount Galilee M.B. Church where he was baptized in the name of Jesus. Shadrick attended Jackson Public School in Hinds County. He attended Martin Headstart, George and Isabale Elementary, Peoples Middle School and Jim Hill High. Later on he received his G.E.D. and went and had many opportunities from painting to brick laying, sheet rock, pouring concrete later receiving his C.D.L. He never got a chance to drive for man, but instead he drove for God. Shadrick gave his life to Christ, and fell in love with Jesus. Shadrick was preceded in death by all four grandparents: Mr. Johnny Sutton, Mrs. Elnora Simmons, Mr. Amos Nichols and Mrs. Evemae Nichols; an aunt Ms. Marilyn Simmons; three cousins Thomas Earl Simmons, Earl Terrell and Quincy Simmons; four uncles Roger, Robert, Red, and Scottie Burgess. Shadrick leaves to cherish his memory to his parents Mr. Bobby Nichols and Ms. Barbara Simmons; nine children, Thomas Earl, Shallayan Simmons of San Diego, CA, Stephon Simmons of Menneapolis, MN, Darren Simmons, Shadrick, Jr., Earl Terrell, Shalay, Isabella and Skylar Simmons all of Jackson, MS; two brothers; Mr. Ledrick Antwain (Khanya) Simmons, Mr. Nicholas Brown both of Jackson, MS; five nieces; Janeecia, Kamryn, Ledrianna, Shaydrianna Simmons, and Shanickales Brown all of Jackson, MS. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and many special friends.
