Mr. Ralph Echols of Palmetto, Ga., passed on May 27, 2021. Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church June 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Viewing 12:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday June 3, 2021. All participants must wear a mask to viewing and service. Service entrusted to Smith, Dennis-Smith Funeral Home, Chapel, and Cremation Services(3047 Campbellton Rd. SW. Atlanta, Ga. 30311, 404-349-2400). Ralph Echols was born January 20, 1949, in Fairburn, Georgia. He graduated from Fairburn High School in May 1967. After leaving high school he was enlisted in the US. Army on September 12, 1968. He was promoted to Sergeant and served his country while being granted honorable discharge December 1, 1974. He was later employed at Owen Corning Fiberglass as a Group Leader. He worked there for 40 years and retired in November 2011. He met his beloved wife Ruby Echols in 1971 and was married November 20, 1971. They were blessed with two children Rafael Echols and Rashieda Morton. Everyone that knew Ralph knew he was a hard-working family man that loved his family and friends. He loved outdoors and motorcycles. He is proceeded in death by his mother Annie Ruth Echols. He leaves to cherish his memories with Ruby Echols (wife), Rafael Echols (Son), Lindsey and Rashieda Morton (Son in law and Daughter), GaQuavious Echols (Grandson), Braylen Traylor (Grandson), Jayln Clayton (Step-Grandson), Great Aunt Mildred Stegall, and Aunt Julia Ware. He also leaves to cherish his memories with two mothers in laws (Mamie Ruth Wyatt and Marie Dyer), four sisters in laws, four brothers-in-laws, host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
