Ms. Evon S. Hargrove, age 76, of Norlina, North Carolina departed this life on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Maria Parham Health.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Evon S. Hargrove will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 2:00PM at Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ 506 S. Main St. Warrenton, North Carolina. Bishop Robert Terry, Jr. will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery, Russell Union Rd. Norlina, NC.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Lawrence Hargrove of the home; children; Xavier Hargrove (Helen) of Oxford NC, Milton Hargrove (Judy) of Mason NC, Corlette Hargrove (Dwayne) of Durham NC, and Tanaisha Hargrove (Donald) of Norlina, NC; grandchildren, Sequoia Hargrove of Durham NC, Xavier Hargrove Jr. of Lynchburg Va, Zaria Alston of Roxboro NC, Milton Hargrove Jr. of Davenport FL, Brittany Hargrove of Henderson NC, Tatianna Hargrove of Wake Forest NC, Donte Hargrove of Durham NC, Deshaun Hargrove of Henderson NC, Desmond Hargrove of Rocky Mount NC, Bishop Hargrove and Christian Hargrove both of Nashville NC; great- grandchildren; Ava Hargrove of Durham NC, Cameron Hargrove, Jaylen Hargrove and Kinsley Hargrove all of Henderson NC; sisters, Dorothy “Dee” Epps (Ben) of Greensboro NC, Harriet Smith of Greensboro NC, and Gwendolyn Epps of Mt. Vernon, NY; brother- in- laws; Robert Terry Jr. (Ivoria) of Warrenton, NC, and Rufus Kermit Terry (Barbara) of Henderson, NC; sister- in- law; Doris Terry Williams of Henderson, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
