Mildred Jiles Gilmore was born on November 10, 1965 to the late Thomas Jiles Sr. and Annie McKinney Jiles in Raleigh, NC.

She departed this life on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Pruitt Health Skilled Nursing Home in Durham, NC

Mildred graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. She was employed at Wake Medical Center in the House Keeping Department for numerous years. Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC where she served faithfully on the Usher Ministry until she married and moved to Durham, NC. and then united with Greater Refuge Church.

First, and foremost Mildred was a faithful and loyal servant to God throughout her entire life. She held onto her unwavering faith to God. Her roommate, Sheryl of Pruitt Health Skill Nursing Home stated, “Mildred was a woman of faith and the night before she went home to be with the Lord, Mildred stated “I am ready to go to heaven and see Jesus”.

Mildred was proceeded in death by her husband, James Gilmore, parents Thomas Jiles Sr. and Annie McKinney Jiles, brothers Chester and Jessie Jiles.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memory; brothers Thomas Jiles Jr. and Tracy Jiles of Raleigh, NC, one sister Shirley Jiles of Raleigh, NC. Special Cousins Pastors Tony and Francine Pierce who stood by her side the last two years of her life and host of family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, 2502 NC Hwy 55, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 12 noon.
