Ms. Chessica McWilliams, age 35, of Macon, formerly of Dooly County, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Funeral services for Ms. Chessica McWilliams will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church, Pinehurst, Georgia.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Church Cemetery, Pinehurst, Georgia.

Chessica Jalease McWilliams stated that if she could change one thing that would be to remove greed from the world and for everyone to be self-sufficient. She loved her family and friends as was inspired by them to get up and dust herself off no matter what life threw at her. She was affectionately known as Ja’ to her family. She loved collecting succulent plants. Ja’ was involved in local theater productions her community as well. She was an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi novels. Chessica was born on December 22, 1989, to Chester McWilliams, Jr. and Deborah Ann Collier McWilliams at Crisp Regional Hospital. She grew and was nurtured in Dooly County, Georgia. She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in Vienna, Georgia in 2008. Chessica further her education at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She was baptized into the faith at Evergreen Baptist Church in Pinehurst, Georgia, on December 5, 1998. Chessica was employed by the Department of Family and Children Services where she worked as a case manager processing cases to determine families’ eligibility for SNAP and Family Medicaid. In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Randkedra L. Collier of Macon, Georgia, Chester (Felicia) McWilliams, III of Cordele, Georgia, Latasha McWilliams of Warner Robins, Georgia, Chelsey McWilliams of Byron, Georgia, Ricardo (Loreal) Thornton of Hawkinsville, Georiga; nephews and nieces, Rashad and Christian Collier, Marci Deann McWilliams, Jabias and Jaren McWilliams, Jacobian McWilliams, Xavier and Logan Jenkins, Kassidy Dean, RJ and Chloe Thornton; aunts and uncles, Gary (Trina) Collier of Denver, Colorado, Carolyn (Walter) Gibson of Albany, Georgia, Tabatha Collier of Pinehurst, Georgia, Albert Collier of Albany, Georgia, and Tony Collier of Pinehurst, Georgia, Barbara (John) Collier of Vienna, Georgia, Beverly (Royce) Bolden of Vienna, Georgia, Sandra McWilliams of Vienna, Georgia, Scottie (Kimberly) of Fayetteville, Georgia, Lorenzo (Andrea) of Conyers, Georgia, Sharekia McWilliams of Vienna, Georgia, Terry (Celestine) Lester of Unadilla, Georgia, and Valeria (Donnie) Brown of Unadilla, Georgia. Chessica’s grandparents, Chester and Bobbie Jean McWilliams and Albert and Rutine Collier, all preceded her in death. She had a special friend that was a part of the family: Matthew Jackson, along with other special cousins, great-aunts, greatuncles, and friends
