Linda Lisa Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called to her eternal rest on October 14, 2025, at the age of 62, after a short battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Hampton County, South Carolina, on May 25, 1963, to the late Henry and the late Oneal J. Williams. Linda was a proud lifelong resident of the area she always called home. She graduated from Wade Hampton High School, Class of 1981. She remained a dedicated member of their reunion committee for many years. In a testament to her belief in lifelong learning, Linda proudly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2020. She dedicated 20 years of her career to The State Newspaper before retiring in 2008. She was a hard worker who was respected and loved by her colleagues.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Linda was a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Brunson, SC, where she joyfully served on the women's ministry until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

To know Linda was to be engaged in a joyful conversation; she loved to talk and never met a stranger or someone she was unwilling to help. Even in her later years, she was known as the life of the party. At the nursing facility, she was always found near the activity center, likely racking up her latest bingo winnings. Her vibrant spirit and deep faith brought light and laughter to everyone around her.

She was the heart of a large and loving family. Her greatest pride was her daughter, Me'Khayla Williams (Irene Beauvais-Williams). She was a doting grandmother to Tyrese Sanders and was joyfully awaiting the arrival of her second grandchild, Kingsley.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by seven of her fourteen siblings.

She leaves to cherish her astonishing legacy: Loving Daughter: Me'Khayla (Irene Beauvais) Williams; (1) Loving Grandson: Tyrese Sanders; and his mother Aria'na Taylor; (5) Sisters: Patricia (Tracy) Miller, Minnie, and Carolyn Williams, Brindia Bryant, and Lena Lee; (3) Brothers, James (Annie Pearl) Butler, Charles (Betty) Butler, and Henry (Patricia) Williams; (2) Godchildren: Melanie (Rashad) Bass and Ashley Stokes (1) Loving Aunt: Margaret Major; She will also be dearly missed by those she held as chosen family, Cindy (Chris) Collins, and Kendra Mole. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
