Ms . Juanita Tylette Townsend was born May 1st, 1974 in Anson County to the late Juanita Wall & Henry Frank Cason.

She departed her life on November 15th, 2025 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, North Carolina.

She was a 1993 graduate of Anson High School and also attended South Piedmont Community College (SPCC). She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Cairo, North Carolina.

She was employed at Atrium Health Union Hospital, Monroe, North Carolina until her health failed.

Juanita was beautiful inside and out, loved by many and had a vibrant personality. She enjoyed having a good time and was always a source of great laughter with her sense of humor—she was truly one of a kind.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her three children, Ousamane Townsend (Monroe, North Carolina), Mar’Quaesia Pratt (of the home) and Dontrell Townsend (Wadesboro, North Carolina); and her beloved Grandson, “Nana’ s Baby”, A’maron Griffin (Monroe, North Carolina).

Juanita is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close relatives and friends including Tommy Joe Burns; her best friends since high school, Teresa Watts and Janice Lindsey and her colleagues at Atrium Health.

The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, November 23, 2025, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Galilee AME Zion Church Cemetery, McFarlan, North Carolina.
