Virginia Rose Anderson Dixon

Virginia Rose Anderson Dixon, age 75, from Knoxville, Tennessee, departed this life on Monday, September 8, 2025, peacefully at Fort Sanders Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
She was a graduate of Austin-East High School Class of 1969. She was employed by Howard Baker, Jr. Federal Courthouse in Knoxville for over 25 years. She was formerly employed by Baptist Hospital and retired from University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Her family was her world. Virginia was known as Nana, and was the most loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the life of any party she attended. She loved the Tennessee Volunteers and would often cheer them on.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother who raise her, Rochelle Anderson; and Henry Anderson; her uncles: Richard and Henry Anderson; sisters: Deborah Ray, Dottie Moore, and Diane Moon; her brothers: Reginald and Ronnie Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted children: Tamiko Dixon and Dimitrus (Daiesha) Dixon; loving grandchildren: Dimitriana Dixon, Marquis Thomas, Jaquis Dixon, Dimitria Dixon Kyri Smith, Dimi Dixon, and Jalaila Bennett; great-grandchildren: Honesty Dixon, Nahdiyah Johnson, Kamilla Dixon, and Tru Lov; brother, Calvin Anderson; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friends and family: Ethel Stewart, Penny Woods, Willene Davis, Diane Fair, April Hawk, Zinia Washington, and Marth Brown.

Special thanks to Howard Baker, Jr. Federal Courthouse Judges and staff for loving our Mama the way that you did and to Dr. Caleb Warren and staff for his years of care.

The family will receive on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5-6:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
