Mr. Phillip Jerome Horton, 58, of Shelby, NC passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born on May 28, 1967 in Cleveland County, NC to Lucresia Wilson Moore and the late Larry Charles Horton Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Hopper’s Chapel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC at 1:30 PM. Burial will take place at Palmer Grove Baptist Church, Kingstown, NC. The reception of family and friends will be 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the church.
