MRS. HATTIE GRACE GATEWOOD CAPLE, age 86, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Atrium Health-Union, Monroe, North Carolina with her loving family at her side. She is now singing in the Heavenly Choir.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026, 1:00pm, Smith’s Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Gatewood Family Cemetery

The Family will greet friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 12:30-1:00pm at Smith’s Memorial Chapel and at all times at The Gatewood Pavillion in Morven, NC

The public viewing will be on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1:00-4:00pm.

The services will be LIVESTREAMED on Saturday via facebook H.C.Smith Funeral Home.
