Mr. Ronald Leon Littlejohn, Sr., 68, of Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. he was the son of the late Zebedee Littlejohn and Isabella Allison Littlejohn.
Ronald Leon Littlejohn, Sr., affectionately known as “Ronnie,” departed this life on January 19, 2026, at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was the son of the late Zebedee Littlejohn and Isabella Allison Littlejohn.
Ronnie graduated from Crest High School in 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 11 years and was honorably discharged. Following his military service, he was employed with PPG Industries, where he worked faithfully until his retirement.
Ronnie had a love for sports and especially enjoyed umpiring softball games, a role that reflected his passion, fairness, and dedication to the game. He will be remembered for his commitment to family, service, and community.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Ronald Leon Littlejohn, II; his step-daughter, Nicole Wilson; grandchildren, Kendrick Murray, Avion Kee, Peyton Greene, Montavas Littlejohn, Au’dajia Littlejohn, Simone McCluney, Kaythan Lawton; his brothers, Kenneth Petty (Minnie), Oscar Littlejohn (Virginia), T.C. Littlejohn, Joseph Littlejohn, Kurt Littlejohn (Lanette), Mervin “LeeLee” Manning, and Rodney Glover; his sister, Karen Glover; aunt, Annie Littlejohn; uncle, Kenneth Littlejohn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ronnie’s legacy of service, love, and quiet strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Due to inclement weather, the service has been rescheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with the reception of friends and family from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM.
