Vincent “Grip” Edward Jackson, Jr., 42 a native of New Bern, NC., passed Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Hampton, VA.

Funeral services 12:00 pm., Saturday, Janurary 31, 2026, Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church. New Interment date will be announced Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC.

The family will receive friends 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm., Thursday, January 28, 2026 and Friday, January 29, 2026 at the home of Antwan & Josephine Benjamin, 1806 Tryon Road, New Bern, NC.

Viewing will be at Oscar's Mortuary, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm., Friday, January 29, 2026.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Smith Wilson and father of the heart, Alden Wilson, his father Vincent E. Jackson, Sr. and step-mother Yolanda, San Bernadino, CA; brother, Mikhayl Wilson, New Bern; sisters, JacQuatta Wilson- Walls(Mikhai) Wilmington; Cimone Jackson, Anaheim, CA., and Chantai Jackson, AZ; grandparents Virginia Smith, Bayboro and Hazel Jackson, Ocala, FL.
