Deacon Kenneth Miles, 70, passed January 28, 2026 in Pittsview, AL.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 474 Antioch Road, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Robert Toney, pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Friday, February 6, 2026.

We believe every life has a story that deserves to be told and preserved. Life, like each seasons, has a beauty of its own. They sprout, they blossom, then they are gone.

Kenneth Neal Miles, affectionately called Ken-Neal or Lawyer, was born on March 1, 1955 to the proud parents of the late Petronia Morris Miles and the late Robert L. Miles, Jr. in Pittsview, Alabama. Ken-Neal was the oldest of five children born to this union.

At an early age, Lawyer accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Antioch Baptist Church, where he remained an active member until his health failed. He also was a Mason through a retired Lodge in Pittsview.

Kenneth graduated from Chavala High School and continued his education by attending Wallace (Sparks) Community College in Eufaula, AL. He then started his career at John Deere, where he received further training to become an outstanding diesel mechanic. He later became employed at Mead as a diesel mechanic, where he repaired boilers and diesel equipment. After twenty-nine years of dedicated service, he medically retired from this position.

Kenneth was a family man. He was married to the love of his life, the late Lillie Beatrice Miles. He valued the sharing of knowledge and life experiences, and took pride in passing on lessons learned from his childhood to guide his family toward future success.

Lawyer was a business man. He had several different trades including, auto business, large equipment and farming. His hobbies included raising and caring for livestock, planting fruits and vegetables and giving the produce to family and friends, and he loved antique cars and tractors.

One of his past time favorites was taking his boat out fishing or hunting with brothers and friends. Of course, he always caught the biggest fish or killed the largest deer.

On January 28, 2026, surrounded by family, Kenneth was peacefully called to take his eternal rest. In addition to his parents, Robert L. and Petronia Miles, he was predeceased by his loving wife Lillie Beatrice Miles; his brother, Robert L. Miles, Jr; his mother and father-in-law, Queen Victoria and James Williams, Sr; his brother-in-law, Leon Joseph, Otis Williams, Sunny James, Robert (Pamela) Jones, David Williams; his sister-in-law, Victoria Parker.

Kenneth leaves to mourn his passing: six children, Beatrice (Nathaniel) Parsons of Eufaula, AL, Seleste Miles of Fort Mitchell, AL, Kencietta (James) Howard of Pittsview, AL, Felicia (Willie) Gary of Albany, GA, Yvonnie (Tracy) Johnson of Hatchechubbee, AL, and Christopher Kincey of Abbeville, AL; Fourteen Children, four very devoted who provided loving care and support during his illness, Kenneth (Tiger), Kaliyah, Jakencia and Cedric (Pepper),

along with JaCory, Aldayshia, JuKerria, Quaniqua, Virmeyua, Medorah, TaKayla, Joshua, Christopher, Jr, and Kaylin, and four great- grandchildren, who all brought him great joy; Sibling, Evon Joseph of Columbus, GA, Frederick Miles and Douglas (Eddie) Miles all of Pittsview, AL; Sister-in-law, Mary (Bobby) Jones, Willie Williams, Thelma Smith, Mary Smith, Annie Pearl Borum, Trinia Williams; Brothers-in-law, Enoch Williams, JC Williams, James (Queen) Williams Jr, Cleophus Walden; Aunts, Eva Lou Comer of East Chicago, IN, Annie Mae Miles, Carrie earl Bellamy of Hobart, IN, Prudence Scott of Highland, IN, Juanita Blocker of Dalton, IL; Great Aunts, Bessie Mae Baker of East Chicago, IN, Eddie Lou Mack of Pittsview, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
