Angelia Mitchell, 51, passed on Thursday, November 27, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. EST on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Smiths, AL with Rev. Jeffrey McCauley, pastor and Pastor Kenneth Wilcox, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Public viewing is 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Mrs. Angelia Renee Mitchell was born on January 29, 1974, to the late Ann Pou and Lee Andrew Lewis. She was happily married to Anthony Mitchell for 25 years.
At an early age she confessed Christ and joined Uchee Chapel. Later she united with True Light Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Wilcox.
Renee, as she was affectionately known, attended Russell County High School. Angelia enjoyed her children and being a mother and wife, cooking and crafting.
Angelia was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Pou.
Angelia leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Anthony Mitchell; her father, Lee Andrew Lewis of Phenix City, AL; her children, Tekeymon Jackson of Phenix City, AL, Anthony Mitchell, Jr of Phenix City, AL, Asia Mitchell of Phenix City, AL, Antrevion Mitchell of Huntsville, Al, Andevion Mitchell of Huntsville, AL, Jalen Mitchell of Huntsville, AL; two godchildren, Tony (Daphne) Pace of Phenix City, AL and Preston Griffin of Phenix City, AL, two god-grandchildren, Nova Pace and Kingston Freeman of Phenix City, AL; Four Brothers; Dexter (Danielle) Pough of Phenix City, AL, Gregory Lyles of Phenix City, AL, Dietrick Lewis of Phenix City, AL, and Derrick Morgan of Phenix City, AL; stepfather Curtis Pou of Phenix City, AL, special friend, Glenda Johnson of Phenix City, AL; six aunts, two uncles; a host of other relatives and friends.
