Ms. Vera Marsh

Vera Mae Marsh beloved mother and friend passed away on February 26, 2026.


She was born in Statenville, Georgia on July 10, 1953 to the late Tommie Lee Mincy and Gladys Mincy.


Vera will be remembered for her love of Jehovah whom she dedicated her life to in 1975.


She attended Herctoma High School in Statenville, Georgia and later she moved to Valdosta, Georgia.


Vera loved cooking, singing, dancing, joking with her siblings and children. She loved listing to music especially Wilson Pickett.


She had a smile that could light up the room, and she never met a stranger; she truly enjoyed being around people.


Her zeal for Jehovah was evident in her door to door, informal ministry; she was an avid Bible Reader which was published in the Valdosta Daily Times Newspaper.


She was married to the late Charlie Lee Marsh for 48 years, and she loved herself some Charlie and missed him dearly after his passing. They enjoyed serving Jehovah shoulder to shoulder, fishing, taking long rides in the country, and always stopping for a treat preferably ice cream.


They raised three children together and encouraged them to stick with Jehovah.


Vera is survived by her children: Sandra Jordan of Savannah, GA, Charlie B. Marsh, II (Stacey) of Stockbridge, GA., Patrick Marsh (Petessa) of Albany, GA., her devoted siblings: Curtis Mincy, Louverne Mincy, Willie Mincy (Patrica), Betty Mincy Young, and Gloria Jones all of Valdosta, GA.; her grandchildren:
Darren, Josiah, Kimberly, and Dwayne all of Valdosta, GA., Jayden of Youngsville, N. C., Paytin and Vashyra of Albany, GA, Madison of Conyers, GA;
nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all those who cherished and loved her.

A celebration of life for Ms. Vera Marsh will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 2:00 P. M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on U. S. Hwy 41 South.
