A TIME TO BE BORN
Troy Alexander Mitchell, Sr. was born on September 11, 1961 in Stuart, Florida to Emmitt Mitchell, Sr. and Alice Rebecca Mitchell. He was the third of six children born to their union.
A TIME TO PLANT

A TIME TO GROW

He earned the title of 1st Class Petty Officer during his honorable 20-year career, receiving many accommodations and awards. For the next twenty-five years, he continued to serve his community through employment within the prison system, school system and mental health system, until his health began to fail.
Troy was united in holy matrimony with Sharon McKay of Marianna, FL in 1987, from which three children were born to their union. He was a loving, active, supportive and devoted full-time father to his children. He was a generous, nurturing and hilarious grandfather and great-grandfather. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends, who affectionately called him “King Troy.” He enjoyed laughing, fishing, and cooking. To know him was to love him.
