Mrs. Brenda LaVern Brower passed away on March 13, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Brenda, the youngest of three children, was born on January 10, 1948, in High Point, NC, to Paul Moore and Rose Moore. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Jennie Davis; her mother and father-in-law, James and Resa Brower; her sisters, Daisy McCall and Barbara Moore, and aunts, Margaret Little and Mae Bell Dorsey.

She received her early education in the High Point Public Schools and graduated from William Penn High School in 1966. Brenda furthered her education at GTCC, where she majored in accounting.

On August 28, 1973, Brenda married the love of her life, Malcolm Brower. Together, they blended their families to raise four daughters. She loved her family dearly, and they all cared for her in return. Brenda was truly a servant of God, always ensuring that everyone had what they needed.

Brenda was loved by many; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and GiGi to several. She worked at Shipman’s Homecare for 22 years and cared deeply for her patients. However, to many, she was known as “Mrs. Brenda” or “Mama.”

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memories: her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Malcolm “Mike” Brower; her daughters, Sonja “Dee” Moore of Greensboro, NC; Cheresa “Phatt Katt” Brower (Tony) of High Point, NC; Margie Gaines (Marc) of Baltimore, MD; Andrea Brunton (Carl) of Kinston, NC; her sister, Johnnie Mae Medley of High Point, NC; and her best friend since childhood, Beverly Mason of Columbus, OH; she is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Antonia, Kenisha, Brendan, Ariyonna, Antonio, Marcus (Kanika), Darius, Rayquan, Shaun (Rachel), Joshua, Terrell; fifteen great-grandchildren, Londyn, Brendan, Kehlani, Chase, Carter, Tiel, Kayla, Kayden, Kayliah, Ava, Kennedy, Niles, Cairo, Ivy Rose, and Sariyah; special friend, Betty Hamilton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at United House of Grace & Mercy. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
