Sarah Yvonne Hunt Smart, a resident of Union Springs, Alabama, departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of First Missionary Baptist Church, 103 Holcombe Avenue, Union Springs, Alabama 36089, with the Rev. Gary Lewis, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Smart will lie in repose on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Poe’s Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 324 South Prairie Street, Union Springs, Alabama 36089. She will also lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
