Samuel Bernard Dunson,83, of the Historic James City Community , New Bern was called to rest Friday, March 27, 2026.

His Memorial Service is 2:00 PM Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Family Homestead 309 Foreman Street, James City.

He is survived by his sisters, Sylvia Dunson Holland, PA, Barbara Dunson Owens, New Bern, NC, Dorothy Dunson, Los Angeles, CA, Winnie Dunson Arling, Louisville, KT Agnes D. Reid, Columbia, MD; nephew-son-of the heart, Rodney Kelly, Greenville, NC (Kim) nieces, nephews and cousins
