Mr. Clarence E. “Skull” Barber a son of Mrs. Cora Ann Barber Wright and the late Mr. Clarence E. Wright departed this life on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home in Great Falls, South Carolina. He was born September 6, 1967 in Chester, South Carolina.
A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held 2 PM Friday, April 3, 2026
at Mount Ararat A.M.E. Zion Church in Richburg, South Carolina with Pastor Forest Woodard presiding and delivering the Words of Comfort and assisted by Sister Kinnyetta Kennedy and cousin, Minister Tommy Lee Stroud. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, Mrs. Cora Ann Barber Wright of 49 Pine Street in Great Falls, South Carolina.
A viewing will be held from 2-7PM Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Washington Funeral Home in Great Falls, South Carolina.
Clarence was a life long member of Mount Ararat A.M.E. Zion Church in Richburg, South Carolina where he was a faithful Gospel Choir Leader, a drummer and a member of the Trustee Board for many years.
He was formerly employed at McGee Brothers Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clarence was an athlete at heart in his younger days, playing football, basketball and baseball. Clarence was something of a comedian and love making people laugh. He always called and checked on everyone. If he had your number, then you know.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Wright; grandmother, Jessie Mae Heath and his favorite aunt; Bertha Mae Caldwell.
Clarence leaves to cherish his fond memories, his mom, Mrs. Cora Ann Barber Wright of Great Falls, South Carolina; his children, Precious Barber of Lancaster, South Carolina, Jarcell (Brianna) Belk of Hopkins, South Carolina, Sherika Duncan of Lancaster, South Carolina; his brothers, Reginald (Tyuan) Barber of Charlotte, North Carolina, Glenn Caskey of Lancaster, South Carolina, Clarence(Dip) Wright of New Jersey; his sisters, Bertha (Edward) Johnson of Great Falls, South Carolina, Mary Brown of Monroe, North Carolina, Evon Wright of New Jersey; his favorite two grandchildren, Aysa Barber of Lancaster, South Carolina and Logan Talford of Hopkins, South Carolina; and all of his favorite nieces and nephews “In The Whole Wide World”. Clarence also had a special best friend, Mark Dye as well as his two cousins, Troy and Albert Caldwell. Clarence was fond of his Care Aides especially Lottie Dottie as he called her.
