Frank James Saxon

The funeral services for the late Mr. Frank Saxon, who departed this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 12:00 Noon from the Zion Hope Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Pastor Jermaine King will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Mr. Frank James Saxon was born on February 25, 1949 in Camilla, Georgia to Mr. Willie Albert Saxon and Charise Dye Saxon

He was educated in the Mitchell County Public School System and graduated from the Camilla Consolidated High School in 1967.

Frank gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Usher Board under the guidance of Pastor Jermaine King.

Frank moved to Ashburn, Georgia in 2001, where resided with his wife of 25 ½ years, Laverne Hampton Saxon. Together they are the parents of five daughters, twelve grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Frank provided for his family as a truck driver for over forty years, hauling peanuts cargo for Golden Peanut Company and Southern Ag Carriers. He was known over the trucking radio waves by his handle, “Ghostrider”.

On March 31, 2026, Frank James Saxon transition from this earthly realm into Eternal Rest at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. His parents, Willie Albert Saxon and Charise Dye Saxon, a bonus daughter, Kimbaya Hampton, and a niece, Jackie Crawford, have all preceded him in death.

Frank leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Laverne Hampton Saxon; a daugthter, Tessa Rene Saxon (Gary); bonus daughters (daughters he raised), Quenisha, Marquita, Jakhara; grandchildren, Fredrick Hightower, Charisa Haynes; ten bonus grandchildren; two great grandchildren, London Hightower, Cal’la Williams; two bonus great grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Lee Jones, Hazel (Willie) Jackson, Linda Saxon, all of Camilla, Georgia; four brothers, Willie (Betty) Saxon of Youngstown, Ohio, Johnny (Betty) Saxon, Ronnie (Lillian) Saxon, Stanley Saxon, all of Camilla, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends
