Laura Richard Carpenter, 89, of Havelock died Saturday January 31, 2026 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Her service is 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Piney Grove AME Zion Church 1430 Temples Point Road, Havelock, NC.

She is survived by her son, Charlie Carpenter, Jr.( Pam) of Havelock; two grandchildren, Maurice Duane Thomas, Sr. and Cameron Bryce Carpenter and four great-grandchildren, Maurice Duane Thomas Jr., Malachi Amaziah Thomas, Mariah Joy Thomas, and Kaleb Aden Thomas.
