MR. JIMMIE ROGER KNOTTS

Jimmie Roger Knotts was born into the family of James Mason and Effie Huntley Knotts on March 5, 1949, in Anson County, North Carolina.

Jimmie confessed Christ at Brown Creek Church and later became a member of West Deep Creek Baptist Church. He was educated in the Anson County School System. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he served in the Army Reserves. He was a 30-year veteran of the military. He was a member of VFW Post 10403, Wadesboro, NC.

He also earned a certification in Auto Mechanics from Anson Community College.

Jimmie worked at many jobs throughout his life: Collins and Aikman, Cooper Tools, Simon Cleaning Service, Wansona, Hornwood, and Anson County Hospital. He retired from Lilesville Elementary School.

Jimmie was united in Holy Matrimony to Margaret Sellers. To this union four (4) children were born.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Effie Knotts, Father, James Knotts, and two brothers, James Knotts Jr. and Paul Knotts.

In the quietness and still of the morning of January 30, 2026, Jimmie Roger Knotts was called to eternal rest.

He leaves to cherish his warm, loving memories his wife of 56 years, Margaret Knotts of the home; his children, Tomeria Knotts (Robert) of Lilesville, NC, Sharon Presson of Wadesboro, NC, Louis Roger Knotts of Wingate, NC, and Angela Crowder (Adrian) of Charlotte, NC. Eight grandchildren: Kadeem Crowder (Kiana), Travon Willoughby, Sharitie Presson (Derek), Keondra Knotts, Emmanuel Knotts, Tierra Presson, Camille Crowder, and Dominque Hammond. Eleven (11) great grandkids. Two sisters, Minnie Chambers and Jewel Bennett, and three brothers, Alexander Knotts (Sharon), Willie Knotts (Dot), and James Neal (Belinda). Two sisters-in-law, Celria Knotts and Minnie Knotts both of Wadesboro

The Family will Honor Mr. Knotts life on Sunday, February 8, 2026, 1:00pm, West Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Church Cemetery.
