Joan Collier, 81, passed on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Crawford Church of Christ, 75 AL-169, Phenix City, AL with Brother Jessie Powell, officiating. Interment to follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing is 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Mrs. Joan Fuller-Collier graced this life with her presence on June 10, 1944, in Bleeker, Alabama, to Roy and Flossie Fuller. She departed this life for her eternal reward on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Joan was a faithful member of Crawford Church of Christ in Crawford, Alabama, where she served diligently with the Kitchen Ministry. She was a 1965 graduate of Wacohchee High School. She retired after more than twenty-six years of employment with the Lee County School Board as the Cafeteria Manager at Smiths Station Primary School.
Joan loved her God and her family. One of her greatest joys was preparing meals and sharing them with her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Billy Fuller and Royce Fuller.
Left to cherish Joan’s memory are her high school sweetheart and husband of forty-six years, Mr. Darius Collier, Sr.; her children, Jacqueline (Kenneth) Bellamy, Darius Collier, Jr., Jeremiah (Lori) Collier, Micikell Annetta Perry, and Vanessa Hardaway; grandchildren, Zora Collier, Ava Collier, Nyla Collier, Jacinta Bellamy, Demetri Fulcher, Justin Bellamy, Lashonti Collier, Darius Collier, III, Damari Collier, and Malik Hardaway; great-grandchildren, Jasiyah, Major, Milani, Miguel, and Nova; two sisters, Betty Jean Fuller and Linda Thomas; three aunts, Susie Mae Rowell, Amy Rowell, and Jean Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
