Clarence Luther McKenzie was born on Saturday, February 22, 1930 in Talladega, Alabama to Gertrude McKenzie and Willie Hardnick.
During his childhood years he was a member of New Hope Methodist Church; as an adult, he joined Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, became a deacon and served faithfully until his health failed.
Clarence was educated in the Talladega County school system. In 1954, Clarence joined the United States Army and did a tour of duty in the Korean War.
On Saturday, February 14, 2026 he peacefully passed away at his home. He is now with his mother Gertrude; his father, Willie; his brother, James; and his sisters, Tommy and Mary Charles.
Precious memories will be in the hearts of his devoted wife, Nellie Few McKenzie; his son, Daryl McKenzie; his step children, Harold Foster (Bernice), Josa West, Johnathan West (Crissy), Candace Sutton (Micheal) and Tommy Sutton; his sister, JoAnn Curry; and a host of step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
