Mr. Nas James Dawson of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family.

Mr. Dawson was a member of Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Blountstown, Florida. To know him was to love him.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 16076 SE River Street in Blountstown, Florida where the Reverend Dr. Nikki G. Henry-Clemons is the pastor.

Mr. Dawson will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving family: his wife of 55 years, Amanda Dawson; one daughter, Alicia (LaDon) Clemmons;

daughter-in-law, Lydia Dawson; grandchildren, Savannah Clemmons, Olivia Clemmons, Jaelyn Dawson, Hayle Yon, Aijalon Dawson, JaMyon Dawson, and Jaymee Dawson; and one great- grandchild, Ja’mir Dawson.

He is also survived by two sisters, Nedra (Sim) Smith and Maeola Hall; two brothers, Kain (Gladys) Dawson and Willie Dawson; sisters-in-law, Glenda (Reverend Riley) Henderson, Tina Charley, and Connie (Henry) Horton; brothers-in-law, Reverend Hayward (La’Shay) Anderson, Josephus (Eva) Davis, Lewis (Jennifer) Davis, and Jerry (Carrie) Crook; a special aunt, Penny Dudley; a special buddy and caretaker, Chris Jackson; a dedicated caretaker, Malcolm Snowden; and a host of other relatives, loved ones, and dear friends.
