Torrence Lee Alford, affectionately known as Tee Lee to family and friends, was called home suddenly on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 49. Torrence was born on October 11, 1976, in High Point, NC, to the late Billy Lee Alford and Karen B. Alford Johnson.
Torrence attended Guilford County Schools. Tee was the most kindhearted, caring man, son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Torrence worked hard to fulfill a lot of his dreams before leaving this earth.
Torrence was a radiant life of the party who enjoyed fishing, exploring new horizons, cherishing moments with family and friends, and spreading contagious laughter. Tee's outstanding personality was respected and loved by many.
In addition to Torrence's mother, Karen B. Alford Johnson, and father, Billy Lee Alford, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Nathanial Brown; his paternal grandmother, Bernice W. Alford; his grandfather, Johnnie Alford; and several aunts and uncles.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his son, Treshawn Alford, of High Point, NC; his brother, Shawn Alford, of Charlotte, NC; his sister, Tiara Brown, of Charlotte, NC; and his maternal grandmother, Parthenia Brown, of High Point, NC; he is also remembered by six aunts: Helen Alford of South Carolina; Sara Alford, Elizabeth Alford, Gladys Eccles, Joyce Brockman, and Lottie Brockman, all of NC; four uncles: Charles Alford, Gerald Brown, Greg Brown, and Michael Brown, all of NC. Additionally, he is survived by his longtime partner, Dee Zimmerman, the mother of his son, Nikki Haney, and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Mr. Alford may be viewed on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Phillips Funeral Service, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
