Jonaida Milagros Martinez-Perez, 55, of Columbus, GA passed Thursday, April 30, 2026 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment to follow at West End Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Public Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. EST, Friday, May 8, 2026.

Mrs. Jonaida Perez of Caguas, Puerto Rico, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Columbus Hospice. Mrs. Perez was born on August 17, 1970, to the late Ismael Perez and Juanita Marinez Perez.

“Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother and cherished grandmother, whose life was a testament to love and selfless devotion.

She was the heart of our family, a steady presence, and a warm embrace when life felt uncertain.”

A devoted and compassionate mother, grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us. Her love was steady, unconditional, and so gentle.

“Her memory is our keepsake, with which we’ll never part; though God has her in His keeping, we have her in our hearts.”

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her siblings, Luz M. Karakozian-Martinez (Dali), Ismael A. Perez (“Cano”), Juana Cesi Perez, and Ismael Juan Perez (“Papling”); her daughters, Isnaida Perez, Jonaida Peez, Lienaida Perez, Jomarie Perez, and Jonaya Perez; her only son, Rafael D. Perez (Shay-Shay); as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
