Ms. Mildred “Kay” Sims Miller, 71, of Shelby, NC. passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her residence. On October 11, 1954, Mildred “Kay” Miller was born in Lawndale, North Carolina, to the late Matthew Henry Sims and Helen Johnson Sims.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at Lawndale First Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The reception of family and friends will be held from 3 until 3:30 p.m.
