“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul: He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Dinar Drayton Robinson was born on January 15, 1952, to the late Oswald Drayton, Sr., and the late Inez Flowers Drayton in Hampton County.
Her faith and belief in God were expressed at an early age when she united with Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and faithful member of her church. She sang in the choir and served as an Usher. She willingly stepped in wherever needed to assist in other departments of the church. She loved her church family.
Dinar attended the public schools of Hampton County.
She was employed with Nell’s Harbour Shop in Hilton Head for over 40 years. While traveling to work, Dinar would call WDOG to put her name in the hat. She always wanted to win a prize.
Dinar was full of love, life, wisdom, and laughter. During her leisure time, Dinar enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a lovely ride around and checked out the neighborhood. She also had a passion for cooking and shared her love through the meals she prepared for many people throughout the community and for her family as well. Dinar had a heart of gold and cherished every memory she made with her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lewis Robinson; (2) Sisters: Mary Flowers Maner and Ella Bell Dorsey; (5) Brothers: James Wesley Drayton, Richard Drayton, Oswald Drayton, Jr., Spencer Drayton, and Levi Flowers.
