Mr. Michael Daniels Sr.

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Daniels Sr., who departed this life on May 31, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on: Saturday, June 6, 2026 12:00 Noon Forest Chapel Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in the Forest Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Michael Daniels, a ectionately known by many as “Billy,” departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at home in Vienna, Georgia. He was born in Dooly County, Georgia, on July 27, 1954, to the parentage of the late Mrs. Helen Easom Daniels and the late Mr. James Daniels. His beloved brothers, Melvin Daniels and Johnny Daniels, preceded him in death.

Michael accepted Christ an early age when he joined the Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Lilly, Georgia. He was a 1975 Vienna High & Industrial School Viking graduate.

Michael was loved and respected by many people. He was a member of the Gospel Stars of Lilly, Georgia, formally known as the Daniels Brothers. He loved singing, driving buses, and refereeing games. He loved his grands and great-grands. Aside from the love of his family, he enjoyed watching the game show on TV along with the sports channels. He was employed with Victory Driveaway and TransSouth Bus Lines. He worked with Cordele, Crisp County Sheri Department, and Vienna Dooly County Sheri and Police Department. He was a substitute teacher in the Dooly County school system. He worked with the Dooly County Recreation Department. He also was O cial Referee for the National Referee Association of Georgia. He served in the United States Army in Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas.

Michael was truly a very busy man that stayed on the go trying to make a way for his family.

Michael’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.

His life and his love will forever be cherished by his loving and dedicated wife, Mrs. Sandy Daniels of Vienna, GA; loving and caring children, Mr. Tellys Daniels and Ms. Deidra Daniels of Vienna, GA, Ms. Franchesca Lester of Unadilla, GA, and Mr. Michael Daniels, Jr., of Pinehurst, GA; 13 grandchildren; three great-grands; a loving sister, Mrs. Helen (Walter) Spencer of Greenville, GA; beloved brothers, Deacon James Robert (Debra) Daniels of Atlanta, GA, Pastor W.C. Daniels of Albany, NY, Deacon Samuel (Georgia) Anderson, Sr., of Pineview, GA, Mr. Frankie Daniels and Deacon Alonzo (Betty) Daniels, all of Lilly, GA, Mr. Calvin (Mya) Daniels of Warner, Robins, GA, and Mr. Stanley Anderson of Stone Mountain, GA; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Daniels of Vienna, GA, Ms. Stacy (Eddie) Hicks, and Pastor Beverly M. (Royce) Bolden of Vienna, GA, Ms. Beverly (George) Bolden and Ms. Denise (Harvey) Seay of Pinehurst, GA; brothers-in-law, Mr. Randy (Rosie) Bolden of Pinehurst, GA, Mr. Kerry (Avios) Bolden of Vienna, GA, and Mr. Ronnie Bolden of Unadilla, GA; aunt, Ms. Bertha Woodson of Pinehurst, GA; along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends, including a devoted friend, Mr. Tyrone Adkinson of Unadilla, GA;  e Georgia Referee Association Crew; bus driving friends; Ms. Shirley Jenkins and Curtis Howard; and other devoted friends in Dooly and surrounding counties.
