Erica Earleen Brown was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1984, to Jerome Wilson and Twyler Brown, in her beloved hometown of Talladega, Alabama.

A proud graduate of Talladega High School’s Class of 2003, Erica dedicated herself to her community. Her kind nature and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Erica was a woman of many passions; she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in reading, journaling her thoughts, unwinding with a good Netflix series, and enjoying lively card games with friends. Her weekends were often filled with laughter and fellowship with those she held dear.

Erica was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, and treasured friend.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories to her sons, Deonte Ta'Sean Brown and Keaton Ke'Sean Brown, both of Talladega, AL; her mother, Twyler Lavette Brown of Talladega, AL and her father, Jerome Wilson, of Alpine, AL; her grandparents, Tommy Lee Garrett of Alpine, AL and Jerome Twymon of Detroit, MI. Erica is also survived by her sisters, Gladys (Rev. Mark Estell) and Cotillian Brown of Talladega, AL, and Lakesha (Jermon) Woodgett of Alpine, AL; her brothers, Jermaine Brown of Talladega, AL, and Jerry Calhoun and Bryant Calhoun, both of Alpine, AL. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Erica Earleen Brown departed this world on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 42. Erica was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Khlever Da’Nae Brown; her grandparents, Emily Garrett, and Charner Dates; and her fiancé, Dante Beck, who welcomed her into their eternal embrace.

Her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to cross her path, as her laughter and kindness remind us of the power of love and community.
