Mr. Jackie “Jack” K. Thurman, 61, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born on May 8, 1964 in Cleveland County, NC to the late John Thomas and Ruby Norris Thurman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Palmer Grove Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church. All other times the family will be meeting at 1820 Kings Road in Shelby, beginning Saturday, April 18th through Sunday, April 19 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, April 21st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
